Trial Night
A trial night is mandatory. This can be in addition to, or instead of, the meet and greet. The trial night is offered at a reduced cost of £20 for the night (per dog – this rate is not reduced for additional dogs). Owners MUST be available to collect their dog during the trial night if there is any reason they cannot stay.
How Home Boarding Works
Home & Garden Setup
Your dog will stay in a fully secured home environment with a safe, enclosed rear garden. When I'm at home, they have free roam of the living areas to settle where they feel most comfortable. For their safety, when I'm not home your dogs stay in a dedicated, cosy space tailored to their needs.
Resident Dog CompatibilityÂ
My resident dog, Summer, is the heart of the home. Priority is always given to ensuring both dogs are happy and stress-free. Please note that my home boarding may not be suitable for highly excitable large breeds, as we maintain a calm and balanced social environment for everyone's well-being.
Mandatory Meet & Greet
A mandatory meet & greet is required for all new boarders. This can be from your address and will be a short walk with my dog (if within 5 miles of FK2 7NH)Â If you live outwith this area, you must come to me for the meet & greet. You are also very welcome to visit my home to see where your dog will be staying and ensure you are completely comfortable with the setup but there is also a video tour below.Â
Alone Time Expectations
Dogs must be comfortable being left for 4–5 hours while I complete my daily walking rounds. Please note that boarding dogs rarely join my walks, as I focus on 1-1 walks for reactive dogs. I have enrichment that your dogs can be left with (Kongs, licki mats, snuffle mats etc)
Daily Walk Routine
Your dog will enjoy a structured daily walk tailored to their energy levels. I believe in flexibility; whether they need a long explore or a shorter sniffy walk, the routine is adjusted to keep them relaxed and happy throughout their stay.
Drop-off & Pick-up
Standard drop-off and pick-up are at my home. No fixed times as it depends on my schedule but I'm happy to accommodate early morning and late evening.For added convenience, I offer an optional collection and return service within a 5-mile radius of FK2 7NH free of charge as long as there is access to the property.
